Financial Policy

We ask that you read and fully understand our Patient Financial Policy prior to any surgery or treatment by our providers. Please let us know if you have any questions about your financial obligations or anything addressed in our Financial Policy below: 
  • It is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to understand his/her insurance coverage. Georgia Anesthesiologists, P.C will not alter its billing codes nor falsify medical records in an attempt to receive payments from its payers for services that would otherwise be denied.
  • Co-payment amounts are required prior to your surgery. Please contact our practice to make the necessary payment arrangements.
  • Full payment is due prior to the surgery for all self-pay patients (those patients without insurance).. A $30 fee will be assessed for all returned checks.
  • We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You can also make payments securely on our website by using our secure "Online Bill Payment" feature. 
  • Payment plans can be arranged in advance with Georgia Anesthesiologists, P.C.’s billing office at (770) 794-0477.
  • As a courtesy to our patients, we will submit claims to your insurance carrier for you. For those plans that we participate in, we will also submit secondary insurance claims.
  • Payments from your insurance plan must be remitted directly to Georgia Anesthesiologists, P.C., unless another financial arrangement has been made in advance of the surgery.
  • You are responsible for the payment of services rendered regardless of insurance coverage. 
  • If we send your account to collections, you will be responsible for paying the original amount plus any additional collection agency fees.
  • HMO & PPO patients requiring referral authorizations for surgery must ensure that the appropriate authorization is obtained prior to surgery. Any unauthorized charges will be your responsibility.
  • Your medical information and any information needed to determine your benefits or the benefits payable for related services will be released to the Health Care Financing Administration, HMO, PPO, POS, commercial insurance or their agents as necessary for Georgia Anesthesiologists, P.C. to receive payment from the respective payer(s) for the anesthesia services rendered.
  • The parent or guardian of a minor having surgery is responsible for full payment of any amounts due for the anesthesia services we provided to the patient. We will not be involved in negotiating between parents in custody disputes..
